MFF AFGHANISTAN: ROAD NETWORK DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Fact Finding Mission

ADB is planning to process a MFF for development of roads network in Afghanistan. The Infrastructure Division (CWID) of ADBs Central and West Asia Department organized a fact-finding mission to (i) perform a comprehensive review of the economic analyses performed on all on-going projects; (ii) evaluate the economic viability of these projects in case their costs rise beyond the cost at present; (iii) review and revise, if necessary, the government’s economic analyses of new projects; and (iv) prepare and submit to ADB, a succinct report of the key findings and recommended investment options.

The services to be provided by VisionRI under the assignment include review of social and environmental safeguard planning for sub projects to be financed under first tranche as well as participating in the ADB fact finding mission for subsequent PFR and providing specialist services on economic analysis, safeguard planning, and preparation of appendices for PFR documents which included sections on economic analysis, EARF etc.
