About the Project

The assignments aimed at undertaking environmental, energy, social and industrial health audit of industrial units and corporate entities as part of pre-investment due diligence undertaken on the behalf of investors. Various Industries audited include:

Our Role

VisionRI was engaged by various Private Sector Investors/Entities to conduct the environmental, energy, social and industrial health audit of industrial units and corporate entities as part of pre-investment due diligence. The aspects covered under the audit were assessing the compliance with pollution control norms, reviewing of environment impacts on surrounding areas due to plant operations, identifying the material balance and waste flow lines, undertaking the review of energy usage and energy saving measures, reviewing the existing environment management system and energy saving measures, community consultations, assessment of in house capacity for environmental management, review of pollution emission monitoring and control system, verification of emissions compared to specified standards, review of HSE aspects, identification of areas of environmental concerns and mitigation measures with likely cost implications. Social DD covered compliance of with labour laws, working conditions, land acquisition issues, freedom of association, child labour and gender issues, HR practices etc.
